Hindi Voice Typing

No – Hindi voice typing requires an active internet connection. The tool uses your browser's Web Speech API, which sends audio to Google's speech recognition servers for processing. Without internet the microphone will not produce any output.

Hindi (hi-IN) is set as the default. You can switch to other languages using the language selector in the toolbar:

• English (UK & US)
• Arabic
• Spanish
• Japanese
• Korean
• Portuguese
• Chinese (Simplified)

For best accuracy, speak clearly and at a natural pace in the selected language.

We do not store, record, or share your voice. This tool uses the Web Speech API built into Google Chrome. Audio is processed by your browser and Google's speech recognition service and is never sent to or stored on our servers.

Recognition accuracy depends on several factors. These tips usually help:

• Use Google Chrome – other browsers have limited Web Speech API support.
• Speak clearly at a moderate pace – avoid mumbling or rushing.
• Reduce background noise – a quiet environment improves accuracy significantly.
• Use a good microphone – a headset gives better results than a built-in laptop mic.
• Check your internet connection – a slow connection causes recognition errors.

Support on iOS (iPhone / iPad) is very limited. Safari does not support the Web Speech API, and Chrome on iOS uses Safari's engine, so it may not work reliably.

For iOS users we recommend Unicode Hindi Typing or the Hindi Keyboard, both of which work across all devices and browsers.
